The purpose of the study was to search the theoretical foundations of the curriculum for the turning point. The study was focused on : 1) exploring the characteristics of the conversed viewpoints for the world, human being and knowledge of the new century. 2) establishing the foundational assumptions of the world, human being and knowledge for the re-conceptualizing of the curriculum.
Based on the results from exploring the characteristics of the conversed viewpoints, the foundational assumptions of the world, human being and knowledge are established as below :

ㆍPurpose is found everywhere within the universe.
ㆍThe universe is alive.
ㆍThere is an extra-sensory reality.
ㆍA coincidence is a meaningful link between different events.

ㆍFulfilment is achieved when physiological, safety, belonginess, self-esteem, self-actualization and self-ranscendant needs are satisfied.
ㆍThe whole is more than the sum of its parts.
<The foundational assumptions of human being>
