우울한 가족 : 금융화된 세계에서의 가족과 정동 = Gloomy Family: Domestic life and affect in financialized world

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글은 금융화돤 경제 생활의 정동을 탐색한다. 금융화란 개념은 경제 현실(economic reality)의 변화를 서술하는 데 그치지 않고 개인화의 윤리에서부터 심적 과정에 대한 해부에 이르기까지 거의 모든 영역을 망라하는 역할을 한다. 우리는 이 글에서 금융화에 관한 비판적 논의들을 참조하면서 한국 사회에서의 금융화, 특히 가족의 경제적 삶과 그에 연루된 개인의 정동 세계를 살펴보고자 한다. 금융화, 그 가운데서도 가족적 삶의 금융화란 가족의 경제적 삶이 금융이라는 격자를 통해 표상되고 규율되고 관리되는 것을 가리키는 것으로 요약할 수 있다. 가족 문제는 실은 돈 문제이기도 하기 때문이다. 그렇지만 가족에서의 돈은 소비를 위한 재원에 불과하다. 금융화는 이를 획기적으로 변이시킨다. 그리고 이는 시간과 정동의 관계를 새롭게 엮고 짜면서 가족생활을 새로운 금융적 배치 속으로 운반한다. 신자유주의적 가족은 금융화된 가족으로 바뀌고 그 가족은 불안하기만 하다. 그 불안한 가족의 풍경을 살피면서 우리는 신자유주의라는 삶의 체제의 면목을 새롭게 조감할 수 있는 가능성을 발견하고자 할 것이다. 신자유주의의 은밀한 비밀 가운데 하나는 화폐와 정동 사이의 관계를 조직하는 새로운 질서이기 때문이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article examines the affect of economic life in the financialized world since the late 1990s in South Korea. The concept of "financailzation", sweeping throughout an array of critical discourses to articulate the current phase of capitalist phase, embraces insights from the ethics of individualization to the analysis of psychic dynamics in everyday life as well as unprecedented changes in economic reality. In particular, this article focuses on the economic life and its involved individual's affects on the course of financialization in South Korea. The financialization in family might be determined as a set of apparatus to control and regulate everyday life in the perspectives of financial norm. In fact family affairs are money affairs. By the way, money of family life is simply the resource to employ the use value in order to reproduce the concrete and material lives. But financialization metamorphoses their circumstances, and eventually turns into novel arrangement. So we could trace the underlying principle to drive the neo-liberalist landscape, which fabricates the relationship between "domestic monies" and affects.
