1990년대 LG 트윈스 창단과 활동이 한국프로야구 발전에 미친 영향 = Influence of LG Twins founding and activities in the 1990s on the development of Korean professional baseball

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examines how the LG Twins influenced the development of Korean professional baseball in 1990, which was the turning point of the Korean professional baseball through the establishment process of the LG Twins. The results are as follows. First, the acquisition of Lucky Goldstar’s MBC Blue Dragon was carried out in secret without the knowledge of the baseball team, and after twists and turns, the inauguration ceremony of LG Twins was held on March 14, 1990. Second, LG Twins introduced baseball technology from advanced teams in the United States and Japan, and players learned baseball through a systematic system. And coach Lee Gwang-hwan’s division of pitching and autonomous baseball was newly recognized for its value and changed the paradigm of the whole professional baseball. Third, the leaders and players of LG Twins cheered the fans of LG Twins to their game with their 2nd Korean Series championship, and the explosive popularity of the baseball team and the love of fans played a big role in changing the signboard of the group. Through the oral records of these research participants, it was an opportunity to look into the lives of professional baseball players, and the meaning of the transition period of Korean professional baseball was newly established.
