The finishing method of concrete floor using automatic surface finisher is one of new technologies in concrete floor construction. Multipurpose Floor Level Joint(MFLJ) works not only as expansion joint controlling shrinkage and expansion of concrete but also as a guide for automatic surface finishing. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the deformation absorbing capacity of the floor level joint. Fourteen specimens are designed and tested by inducing gradually increasing rotation in the joint. In the test, it is purposed to examine quantitatively the expansion and shrinkage capacity of concrete due to temperature gradient. Test result shows that MFLJ has sufficient deformation capacity required to act as expansion joint.
