교과내용학 : 음식생활에 대한 윤리적 논의와 음식윤리교육 = Ethical Discussion on Food Life and Food Ethics Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 인간의 ‘먹음’ 행위에 대한 윤리적 논의를 바탕으로, 도덕·윤리 교과에서의 음식윤리교육에 대해 탐구한 것이다. 인간의 먹음 행위는 생존을 위한 필수조건으로 본능적 욕구와 관련된 주관적, 개인적인 것으로 그 자체는 무윤리적인 것이지만, 문화로서 음식은 정치적·경제적·종교적 영향과 역사적 변화 발전을 거쳐 오늘에 이르렀다. 영양학의 기본철학은 “자기가 먹은 음식이 자기가 된다.”는 것이다. 인간이 먹는 음식이 인간의 본질을 규정하고 인류문명의 미래마저 결정할 수 있다는 점에서 인간의 ‘먹음’ 행위는 윤리적 방향성을 지니지 않을 수 없다. 오늘날 먹는 것은 어느 시대보다 풍요로워져서 하나의 즐거움이 되었지만, 이로 인해 심각한 문제들이 발생하면서 윤리적 성찰이 요구되고 있다. 먹는 문제는 개인의 기호 차원을 넘어 건강 및 생존과 관련될 뿐 아니라 자본주의, 환경오염 등 정치·경제영역과도 관련되는 구조적·제도적으로 복잡한 사회윤리 문제라는 데서 위기의식은 더 커지고 있다. 이러한 문제의식에서 출발하여 인간의 음식생활에 대하여 윤리적 논의를 진행하였다. 우선, 문화상대주의와 어떤 관계에서 음식윤리 논의가 이루어져야 하는지 탐구하였고, 나아가 개인적 측면과 사회적 측면에서 오늘날 음식생활에서 드러나는 윤리적 문제를 분석하고, 윤리적 원리와 덕목에서 해결책을 찾아보았다. 이를 바탕으로 도덕 교과에서 음식윤리교육이 필요한 이유, 교육과정의 음식윤리내용, 교육현장에서 적용 가능한 교육 방법을 찾아 보았다. 도덕·윤리 교과의 음식윤리교육은 인지적·정의적·행동적으로 통합된 ‘에코지능(Ecological Intelligence)’를 바탕으로 윤리적 소비자, 민주시민을 육성하여 미래사회의 발전적 변화를 모색하는 기틀을 마련한다는 점에서 중요한 의미를 지닌다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is investigating for food ethics education in the moral subject based on ethical arguments on human ``eating``. An act of eating itself is non-ethical because it is subjective and private field is related with instinctive desire. But a food as a culture has affected by politics, economy, religion, and history today. The basic principle of the science of nutrition is the food I eat makes me. That means human food has an decisive repercussions on the trait of character of human real nature what is more the direction of the future civilization. Therefore the food life needs the ethical direction. Today, the human eating changes for surviving from to essential pleasure of life. But the food life made to break out severe problems, ill health, farm products, and environmental problem menacing human right to live. The sense of crisis about eating is getting more strained by reason of a complicated connection among those problems. The eating problem is a very complex matter related to politics, economy, and social system beyond the personal taste. I research ethical problem of the food life from personal and social standpoint, and ethical principles to solve the problems with a critical mind. Then, I study food ethics education focused on contents and methods in moral subject about ecological intelligence. In conclusion, I deal with food ethics in future for the next generation.
