This study is about how to write a Class Critique as a qualitative research methodology in class observation. The Class critique is an activity that can improve teachers teaching competence by revealing one s own perspective and
communicating with other teachers in the process of <Reading> and <Writing>.
This process of Class Critique ended up with creative writing. At this time, it is very useful for the pre-service teachers and in-service teacher to write a Class Critique with its patterned standards and forms. In Class Reading(observing), it is presented 4 core elements: Understanding of teachers and teachers teaching competence through PCK, understanding and Analysis of course contents, intentions and Performance of class participants, and the contextual understanding of the whole class. <Writing> was framed into 3 components which were description(mimetic mode), analysis and interpretation(expressive mode) and appraisement(conventional mode), including perceived specific details in Class Reading. This research proposed a creative Class Critique unfolding attributes of art and science based on its <Reading> components and <Writing> forms.
