어머니의 영아와 함께 그림책 읽기 전·후의 그림책 평가의 차이에 대한 분석을 통해서 본 그림책, 영아, 어머니의 상호작용 = Interaction triangles between picture-books, toddlers and mothers by analyzing mothers` assessment of baby books of colors

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 영아 어머니의 영아용 색깔 그림책에 대한 평가가 영아와 함께 그림책을 읽기 전과 후에 그림책에 따라 어떻게 다른지를 알아보는 것을 통하여 그림책, 영아, 어머니 이들 삼자 간의 상호작용을 파악하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 영아용 색깔 그림책에 대한 평가를 영아와 함께 그림책을 읽기 전과 후 2번에 걸쳐 설문지를 통해 수집하고 이를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 영아와 함께 읽기 전에 5권의 그림책에 대한 어머니의 평가는 영아의 흥미와 이해; 글의 길이, 문체, 소재, 주제의 적절성; 그림의 매력도, 글과 그림의 어울림, 책 크기; 상상력, 미술 능력에 대한 도움, 교육성 등의 12가지 항목에서 유의한 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 영아와 함께 읽고 난 후에 영아의 반응을 기초로 그림책에 대하여 평가를 하였을 때, 교육성을 제외한 나머지 11 항목에서 그림책 사이에 유의한 차이가 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the interaction triangles between picture-books, toddlers and mothers by analyzing mothers` assessment of baby books of colors before and after reading those with their toddlers. In this study, 5 baby books of colors was selected, and the pre- and the post-questionnaire for mothers` evaluation of each book was administrated in twice. The results were as follows: First, as to mothers`s pre-evaluation of 5 baby books of colors, there were not significant differences in 12 criteria such as toddlers` interest and comprehension; sentence length, written style, motif, clarity of theme; picture appeals, well-matched words and pictures, book size; imagination, enhancing art ability, and educational achievement. Second, as to mothers`s post-evaluation of 5 baby books of colors based on toddlers` responses after reading together, there were significant differences in 11 criteria except educational achievement. Third, in mothers` pre- and post-evaluation of 5 baby books of colors, toddlers` response to Knock! Knock! and Where is My Mother? fell in well with their mothers` predictions, but My World of Color and Cat`s Colors fell short of their expectations in several criteria. This result suggested every single picture-book had a scent all its own, which exerted an influence on both toddlers` and their mothers` response, understanding and evaluation. However, to tell the truth, toddlers` mother had but a poor grip of picture-books` own property as well as toddlers. Above all, developing and using educational program of toddler books for toddler`s mother would be the matter in hand.
