Role Play를 적용한 동화 읽기를 통한 초등영어교육 지도 방안 연구 = A Study of English Education for the Elementary School through the Fairy tales applied to Role play

The purpose of this study is to develop how to apply the fairy tales through role play at early stage for Englsh learning. The essential goal of English education is to express his or(her) thoughts and feelings correctly. This is called "communicative competence". We can find communicative aspects of language like body language, gesture. idiomatic expressions in Role play. The students of elementary school are very sensitive and emotional. The first step in learning English, it is important for students to know the 'feel' and sound of the foreign language. Children have a constant need for stories and they will always be willing to listen or to read. Role play is a good method which includes the communicative skills of Elementary school students in the realistic situation. I think that children can develop their language ability when they enioy various experiences through role play. Therefore this study suggests a realistic methodology and process for role play.
