This essay is a study on Byeolsinje of Namhan River basin. Particularly, The subject for discussion is the restoration to original state and the present scene of Chungju Mokgye-Byeolsinje. As a result of this study, we know that Galcheon-Byeolsinje belongs to the shaman ritual of a hamlet around inland area. A horse puppet for taboo can make clear the original form of Byeolsinje. A shamanistic exorcism for a marriage ceremony between Amseonang and Suseonang is used to pray for the affluence and prolific living.
Mokgye-Byeolsinje, Galcheon-Byeolsinje and Oti-Byeolsinje are like each other in worshipping Seonangsin, but differ widely in spiritualism. The spiritualism of Oti-Byeolsinje has not only a Confucian inclination but also a shaman inclination and nongak is very important on Oti-Byeolsinje. Such special qualities suggest on understanding Byeolsinje.
