국문 초록 (Abstract)

Johaness Brahms, 그는 14개의 교향곡과 협주곡, 24개의 실내악곡, 26곡의 피아노
곡, 4개의 오르간 곡, 52개의 혼성 합창곡, 3개의 남성 합창곡, 29곡의 여성 합창곡,
131곡의 독일 가곡을 작곡한 낭만주의 작곡가이다.
그가 살았던 19세기는 산업혁명의 급진적인 경제 발전과 계몽주의 철학의 바탕을
둔 평등주의가 만연했었고 그로 인해 여성에게 경제적인 독립과 남녀평등이라는
여성 인권에 서서히 눈을 뜨게 하였다.
그 결과 아마추어 여성합창단들이 가정에서부터 생겨나기 시작하였고 점차 사회
에 확산하였다.
슈베르트, 멘델스존, 슈만, 브람스 등 19세기 작곡가들에 의해 여성합창단과 여성
합창곡의 기초가 마련되었고 현대에 더 발전하게 되었다.
본 논문에서는 먼저 19세기까지의 독일 여성 음악교육에 대해 알아보고 초기 여
성합창의 중심에 서 있는 브람스의 생애와 그의 여성합창단 활동과 여성 합창곡을
알아보고 그의 여성 합창곡 중 ‘여성합창을 위한 4개의 곡 2개의 혼과 하프’를 여
성성을 중심으로 작곡된 배경과 가사, 형식, 연주법, 작곡기법, 조성 그리고 화성에
대하여 분석하였다.
본 연구를 통하여 Johaness Brahms의 여성 합창곡과 그의 작품 속에 나타나는
여성성을 이해하는 데 큰 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

Johanness Brahms, he is a romantic composer who composed 14 symphonies
and concertos, 24 chamber music, 26 piano pieces, four organ songs, 52 mixed
chorus, three male chorus, 29 female chorus and 131 German songs.
In the 19th century, the radical economic development of the Industrial
Revolution and the egalitarianism based on the Enlightenment philosophy were
prevalent, which slowly opened women's eyes to women's rights of economic
independence and gender equality.
As a result, amateur women's choirs began to emerge from home and
gradually spread to society.
By 19th century composers such as Schubert, Mendelssohn, Schumann, and
Brahms, the foundation of the Women's Choir and the Women's Choir songs
were established and further developed in modern times.
In this paper, we first looked into the German women's music education
until the 19th century, looked into Brahms' life playing the important role in
early women's choir, his activities and women's chorus, and analyzed the
background, lyrics, form, performance method, composition technique,
composition and harmony composed mainly of women's chorus.
Through this study, we hope that it will greatly help us understand the
female chorus of Johanness Brahms and the femininity that appears in his
work
