Pneumatic Cylinders that are usually applied in the factory automation line have complicated failure cause because they are composed of various elements. In this paper, we performed FMMA(Failure Mode & Mechanism Analysis) and CMA(Criticality Matrix Analysis) of pneumatic cylinders, and then achieved FMECA(Failure Mode Effects & Critically Analysis) and QFD(Quality Function Development). On the basis of these processes, we can derive strategies for conducting reliability test with pneumatic cylinders.
