The purpose of this study explored the scope and application of forest prescribing in Korea to provide a basis for the development of a forest healing prescribing system in Korea. The study subjects conducted a focus group interview with 7 experts in forest welfare and therapy health and medical professionals. As a result of the study, first, the concept of forest therapy prescription promotes health, rehabilitates, and recovers by prescribing health intervention activities through forest and nature to patients through the intervention of medical personnel. As for the scope of application, health promotion, mental health improvement, and chronic disease management were derived. This requires the establishment of delivery systems in health promotion and community models, primary health care and clinical models. Second, the application of forest healing prescriptions included developing protocols for forest prescriptions appropriate to the target population and disease, developing standardised programmes, strengthening professional capacity, monitoring and managing programmes, establishing communication systems between forest prescribers and the medical community, improving accessibility, and using digital technologies. The results of this study will provide fundamental data for the development of a model for the application of forest prescribing in Korea.
