This paper present a development of a new six d.o.f. Convertible Remotely Operated Vehicle(CROV). The overall structure of the system is composed of ship body, control housing, tether cable, manipulator, actuator, and sensor system. The propulsion system and manipulator are developed and applied to the CROV. The CROV is designed to be converted into AUV by simply getting rid of the manipulator and tether cable and some frames. In AUV mode, the sensor system including IMU, DVL and SBL are applied with Extended Kalman filter. The AUV is designed to speed up to more than 3 knots. The control and sensor system is designed and developed using PCB.
