어머니의 촉진적 의사소통과 청소년 자녀의 자아존중감 및 진로성숙도와의 관계 = A Study on the Relationship among Mother`s Facilitating Communication, Adolescents` Self-Esteem and Course Maturity

This study aims to examine the effects of self-esteem, course maturity of adolescents and facilitating communication of mother. It is also to confirm the importance of facilitating communication of mother in the dialog with adolescents. Subjects of this study were 381 high schools students located in Hongseong. The instruments used in this study were Im Eun Mi(1991) for facilitating communication, Kang Jong gu(1986) for self-esteem test, and Kim Heon Ok(1988) for degree of course maturity of adolescents by revising. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 10.0 program for Frequency, percentage, Cronbach α, multiple-regression analysis and path analysis. Results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, facilitating communication of mother affects the course maturity of adolescents. Second, facilitating communication of mother affects the self-esteem of adolescents. Third, self-esteem of adolescent affects the course maturity. Fourth, the course maturity of adolescents was affected by facilitating communication of mother and self-esteem of adolescents. And the self-esteem was found to strongly affect the determination and the sub-element of course maturity. Fifth, as a result of examining the path among course maturity, self-esteem of adolescents and facilitating communication of mother, respect and purity were affected by the interpersonal relations among self-esteem of adolescents.
