애착과 우울간의 관계에서 사회지향성 및 자율지향성의 매개효과 = The Mediating Effects of Sociotropy and Autonomy on the Relationship between Attachment and Depression

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this study was to examine the mediational effects of Sociotropy and Autonomy on the relations between attachment and depression. A total of 315 college students answered the questionnaires of the Beck Depression Inventory(BDI), the Revised Personal Style Inventory(PSI-II), and the Relationship Questionnaire(RQ). Individuals having attachment styles with a negative model of self (preoccupied and fearful) showed higher scores on the BDI than those having attachment styles with a positive model of self (secure and dismissing). Sociotropy and Autonomy exhibited a significant mediating effect on the relation between certain attachment styles and depressive symptoms. Findings in the study helps in improving the understanding of the factors involved in the development of vulnerability to depression. Furthermore, the results suggested the importance of evaluating both attachment style and sociotropy/autonomy personality dimensions while intervening depressive patients. Finally, the significances, implications, constraints and proposals for further studies are discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 성인 애착이 우울에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 그 관계에서 사회지향성/자율지향성 우울 취약 성격 양식의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 총 315명의 대학생을 대상으로 애착 유형, 사회지향성/자율지향성 성격 양식, 우울을 측정하기 위하여 4범주 애착 척도(RQ), 성격 양식 질문지(PSI-II), 한국판 Beck 우울 척도(BDI)를 사용하였으며 그 중 질문에 대한 응답 누락과 응답 방식의 실수 등 측정의 신뢰도가 의심되는 61명의 자료를 제외한 254명의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다. 연구결과, 부정적 자기 표상을 가진 애착 집단(집착형과 두려움형)이 긍정적 자기 표상을 가진 애착 집단(안정형과 무시형)에 비해 우울 점수의 총합이 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 구조모형 검증 결과, 집착형과 두려움형의 애착 유형 모두 우울에 미치는 매개 효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났으며 또한 집착형과 두려움형의 애착 유형이 사회지향성과 자율지향성 성격 양식 모두를 매개하여 우울에 유의한 설명을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 우울 취약성의 발달과 관련된 요인들에 대한 이해를 향상시키고, 나아가 우울한 환자들의 치료에 애착 유형과 사회지향성/자율지향성 성격 양식을 평가하는 것의 중요성을 시사한다. 끝으로 본 연구에서의 시사점 및 후속 연구에 대한 제언을 하였다.
