공공성의 한국적 현재성 = 상황과 의미

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study tries to analyze the real meanings of publicness in Korea. Though Korea has been in 'short of publicness', currently, publicness is emerging as one of the important issues in Korean society. In this situation, this study examines below two problems. First, why has publicness been underestimated its social values and at present, how does publicness get more popular in Korea. Second, what are the conceptual elements which constitute the actual meaning of publicness. This study investigates the present condition of publicness with the viewpoints of 'the deferment of publicness as a reality' and 'the raise of publicness as a social issue.' And it also examines the conceptual elements of publicness in current Korea by the standpoint of 'the vertical context' and 'the horizontal context.' The results of this study are below. The present meaning of publicness in Korea appropriates positively not only a general attributes(ex. 'common benefit', 'publicity') but also more progressive properties(ex. 'substantial economic democracy as a economic right', 'the allocation by the principle of non-market order') of publicity. And there is the expectation to achieve values of publicness by counting on the public functions of civil society than those of labour movement in Korea.
