매일신보 기사를 통한 아동놀이감에 대한 개념 고찰 = Discussing and Understanding the Concept of Children Toys through Maeilsinbo

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Through an article on children toys by Maelisinbo, this research introduces a new aspect of childhood education of a type conducted outside the system stemming from the Japanese colonial era.
According to the results, newspaper articles on children toys were found to provide information about why children need to play with children’s toys and what parents need to do or consider when trying to choose toys for their children and discussing their understanding of their children’s play, proper children’s toys to help with child development and other educational applications of children’s toys. While reviewing these articles, it was found here that there had been changes in how society would perceive children and children’s toys and that even the field of education has tried to make use of children’s toys as a teaching aid. Specifically, there has been an effort to make parents who are close to children recognize the positive effects of play and realize that play is a right that children should have in their lives.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 매일신보에 실린 아동놀이감에 대한 기사를 통해 근대시기 제도권 밖에서 이루어진 아동교육사의 한 단면을 소개하고자 하는데 의의를 둔 것이다. 연구결과 놀이감 관련 신문 기사는 아동에게 있어 놀이감의 필요성, 부모의 역할로서 놀이감의 선택방법 및 아동놀이에 대한 이해, 아동발달에 적합한 놀이감 및 교육적 활용 등에 대한 내용들로 이루어져 있었다. 이러한 내용들을 통해 이 시기 사회적으로 아동과 놀이감에 대한 인식의 변화가 진행 중이었다는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 교육에 있어서도 놀이감을 활용하고자 함을 알 수 있었다. 특히 아동과 가장 가까이 있는 부모에게 놀이감에 대한 긍정적 효과를 인지시키기 위해 노력하였으며, 놀이는 아동이 생활 속에서 누려야할 권리로 인식시키고 있음을 알 수 있었다.
