This study aims to investigate actual conditions of the supply of community facilities of cities in Korea and Japan, by surveying the number of facilities per unit population, and to obtain the fundamental data for regional planning in Korea through comparative analyses.
Followings are the results of this investigation :
1) High correlations are found between the population and the number of facilities.
2) The original unit of facilities are classified into four types according to the size of the population and the population density.
3) In general the original unit of facilities and the population per unit facilities hold higher level in Japan than in Korea, but some kinds of facilities stand approximately the same level in both countries.
