    This dissertation proposed a remote management system monitoring and controlling UPS(Uninterruptable Power Supply), which is an emergency power facilities, on the Web environment.
    Recently, due to the development of the information communication and network, a network environment taking information from far end, network management protocols, and various network management system (NMS) have been developed, and studied on the remote management for various facilities. Especially, since the electrical accidents such as instantaneous shutdown or voltage variation would have significant influence on computer system and automatic control system, the utility of UPS as a stable voltage and emergency power source becomes important and needs its constant management.
    The conventional UPS management system via serial communication pro- vides only monitoring function.
