월남작가 안수길의 만주 기억과 재현 = The Memory and Reproduction of Manchuria by An Soo-gil, a Writer Who Crossed from North to South Korea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Until now, the researches about An Soo-gil``s literature mainly focused on his masterpiece Bukgando and his works during the Manchuria time. As for other works which were written as a kind of reproduction of Manchuria after liberation when he crossed from North to South Korea, there are still few researches on them. This paper generally discussed about An Soo-gil``s works after liberation by connecting it with his life, spirit, Korean history development and national development. In An Soo-gil``s works after his crossing from North to South Korea, Manchuria became a place that should be forgotten by the refugees in order to settle down in South Korea-the new ``motherland`` and to deny the past behavior. Compared with it, Manchuria in Bukgando was the place where the refugees`` root was and the place where Nationalists held the National Independent Movement. This kind of cognition to Manchuria did not first started from Bukgando but from other works before it. Because of nationalists`` frustration and failure in Manchuria Independent Movement after mid 1920s, Bukgando didn``t narrate much about the situation during 1930s and 1940s. In Decapitated, the book after Bukgando An Soo-gil recognized that Koreans in Manchuria were both victims and assailants and did introspection. An Soo-gil``s cognition of Manchuria was first pushed to the truest position by the introspection on history. In Stitched Pants and Naza Mozanic, the books also after Bukgando, ``Manchuria`` was used as a window or mirror though which the truth could be found.
