This paper is to analyze palatalization in English under Correspondent Theory. The phonological content of palatalization is determined by the constraint hierarchy between faithfulness constraints and phonological constraints. I claim that palatalization conspire for ease of articulation. So speaker-oriented phono-constraints dominate hearer-oriented faithfulness constraints. Finally, I discuss Chinese palatalization and claim it can be accounted for in a uniform way as Chinese is also subject to similar phono-constraints. Constraints, which are used in choosing the optimal form, are arranged as follow : CONS(PAL) >> OCP[+cor, -ant] >> *COMPon >> DEP-IO >> MAX-IO >> IDENT-IO[-ant] >> IDENT-IO[+ant] >> *COAL._
