초등 음악과교육의 최근 실태와 문제점 = A Recent Trend and Related Problems of Music Education in Elementary School

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The music education tends recently to stray out of its own aim on the development of personality in the curriculum as well as on-side education and to depend on its functional purposes and computers. Thus, in this paper in order to prepare an alternative for the desirable surroundings on the music education, I have reviewed the current trend of the music education based on the elementary education. The gist of the paper is as follows.
First, in the 'revised curriculum', the contents related to the development of personality is deleted in the textbook. In the formation, the graded system is adopted and in the contents the middle area is deleted.
Second, in the 'revised curriculum', both Korean traditional songs and multi- cultural songs have drastically decreased. This is not appropriate in the multi- cultural era. In each lesson, author's name is introduced and it is systematized. In addition, integrated lessons appear in the subject of the textbook, Happy Days.
Third, In B.A. level at many national universities of education, the importance of multi-cultural education is argued, but in M.A. level at graduate schools in the national universities of education and in the academia of the elementary music education, the results of the relevant studies are not enough, and the contents on the multi-cultural music education are emphasized in the curriculum but the multi-cultural songs have decreased in the textbooks.
Fourth, as in the case of the multi-cultural music education, the importance of the education on the Korean cultural identity is emphasized in the curriculum, but the Korean traditional songs have decreased in the textbooks.
Fifthly, while the comprehensive music education is considered in the curriculum, Western music is mostly treated in the textbooks. This goes against the trend of the comprehensive music education.
Finally, in the case of teachings by ICT, generalization of the music education based on computers causes difficulties to the true aim of education on the development of personality. In teachings by ICT, music educators should try to change their minds on computers themselves from 'the education of the computer' to 'the education by the computer'.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고는 요즘 우리 사회가 정보화사회를 넘어 다문화사회로 전환되면서 인성교육이 큰 타격을 받고 있고, 국악교육 또한 영향을 받고 있어 강화 방안이 시급히 마련되어야 한다고 보고 향후인성교육과 국악교육 강화를 위한 대책 마련에 도움을 주기 위해 초등 국악교육을 중심으로 최근의 실태와 문제점을 살펴본 글이다.
먼저 2007 교육과정에서는 ‘목적’에서 인성교육 내용이, ‘성격’에서 국악교육 관련 내용이 삭제되었고, 편제방식이 ‘학년별방식’으로 바뀌었으며, ‘중영역’이 내용체계에서 삭제되었다. 그리고 2007 교과서에서는 7차 교과서와 비교할 수 없을 정도로 비중이 낮아졌고, 주로 서양식음악이 주류를 이루고 있어 다문화사회와는 반대로 가고 있으며, ‘집필자 단원실명제’가 도입되었고, 『즐거운생활』에 ‘통합단원’이 등장했다.
다음 다문화 음악교육에 있어서는 교대 학부과정에서는 강조하고 있으나 교대 석사과정과 초등음악교육계는 연구 연구 활동이 저조한 편이며, 2007 교육과정에서는 강조하고 있으나 2007 교과서는 반대로 가고 있다. 한국문화 정체성교육 또한 마찬가지로 개정 교육과정에서는 강조하고 있으나 2007 교과서에서는 반대로 가고 있고, 포괄적인 음악교육도 또한 마찬가지로 2007 교육과정에서는 강조하고 있으나 2007 교과서에서는 서양식음악이 주류를 이루고 있는 등 반대 방향으로 가고 있다.
마지막으로 ICT 활용 수업과 관련해서는 컴퓨터를 이용한 음악수업의 일반화로 인성교육에 영향을 주고 있어 ‘컴퓨터의 교육’이 아니라 ‘컴퓨터에 의한 교육’이 되도록 인식변화가 요청된다.
