분노유발척도 개발 및 타당화 연구 = Development and Validation of the Anger Provocation Scale

The purpose of this study was to develop the Anger Provocation Scale (APS) to assess situational anger and examine its validity. An exploratory factor analysis was conducted. The following four factors were discovered: (1) the unfair behavior of others who criticize, attack and damage, (2) the irresponsible and self-centered actions of others, (3) the actions of others who ignore without respect and recognition, and (4) work stress and fatigue. The internal consistency and the test-retest reliability of the APS were good. Convergence validity was supported. Confirmatory factor analyses of other group showed satisfactory levels of fitness. According to the above findings, the APS is considered a good tool for measuring anger provocation situations and is expected to contribute to assessing individual situational vulnerabilities to anger.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 분노유발 상황을 평가하는 척도를 개발하고 그 타당도를 검증하는 것이다. 대학생 246명을 대상으로 분노를 흔히 경험하는 상황을 개방형 질문을 통해 조사하였으며 그 결과, 분노유발 상황은 17개 범주로 분류되었다. 이에 근거해서 60개 문항으로 구성된 예비척도를 구성하였으며, 이 예비척도를 대학생 375명에게 실시하였다. 여기서 얻어진 자료를 대상으로 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 다음의 4개 요인이 발견되었다; 나를 비난하거나 공격하고 피해를 주는 타인의 부당한 행동, 무책임하고 자기중심적인 타인의 행동, 나를 존중 및 인정하지 않고 무시하는 타인의 행동, 업무스트레스와 피로. 최종적으로 개발된 분노유발척도는 29개 문항을 포함하였다. 분노유발척도의 내적합치도와 검사-재검사 신뢰도 모두 양호한 수준을 보였다. 공격성척도, 일차분노사고척도, 기본심리욕구척도와의 상관에서도 모두 유의미한 상관을 보여 수렴타당도가 지지되었다. 다른 집단을 대상으로 한 확인적 요인분석에서도 만족스러운 적합도 수준을 보였다. 이상의 연구 결과들에 따르면, 분노유발척도는 분노유발 상황을 측정하는 좋은 도구로 여겨지며, 분노에 대한 개인의 상황적 취약성을 평가하는데 기여할 것으로 여겨진다.
