Recently We meet the radical changes in local autonomous environment around local government. It is evident that these changes will be a factor to increase residents' administrative needs, furthermore to expand local government's functions. As a result, the main task of local government is the strengthening of competition power for the responsiveness of the increasing administrative needs and functions.
From this respective, this study analyzed the theoretical and practical validity of the business oriented administrative system-focused on the case of Seoul, presented the problems and alternatives for development of the business oriented administrative system. So this study purports to suggest the desirable directions for improving the business oriented administrative system of local government in local autonomy era.
This thesis points out the problems, and suggests the desirable directions for improving the business oriented administration system. The problems of the side of support to local industrial management is the insufficiency of the local autonomous planning power and policy adjustments power for activation of local economy.
The alternatives for settlement of the business oriented administrative system can be summarized as follows: the several alternatives in the side of support to local industrial management is the strengthening of the local autonomous planning power and policy adjustments power for activation of local economy.
Although this thesis suffers its diverse limitations, it point out the present problems of the business oriented administration of local government in Korea, and suggests the desirable directions for improving the business oriented administration system. Thus, this study is expected to make an important contribution to the development of future and self-government system, and especially the efficient the business oriented administration of local government in Korea.
