This study analyzed the satisfaction of migrant workers with their living and living environment in Korea by industry and occupation using the “Survey on the Status of Immigrant Residence and Employment.” The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the results of estimating migrant workers’ satisfaction with their living and living environment by industry showed that migrant workers in the manufacturing, construction, wholesale/retail/food/accommodation, electricity/transportation/communication/finance, and business/personal/public service industries had a significant positive effect on their satisfaction with their living and living environment in Korea. This means that migrant workers in these industries have relatively higher satisfaction with their living and living environment in Korea than migrant workers in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. Second, the results of estimating migrant workers’ satisfaction with their living and living environment by occupation showed that the satisfaction with their living and living environment in Korea was relatively lower for office workers, skilled agricultural/fishery workers, skilled/machinery/assembly workers, and simple laborers than for managers, experts, and related workers. Third, by industry, the satisfaction level of agricultural, forestry, and fishery workers with their living and living environment in Korea was relatively low, and by occupation, the satisfaction level of agricultural, forestry, and fishery skilled workers, simple laborers, and office workers with their living and living environment in Korea was relatively low. In order to increase the satisfaction level of migrant workers in these fields with their living and living environment in Korea, it is necessary to strengthen the expansion and support policy of public dormitories for agricultural, forestry, and fishery workers and skilled agricultural, forestry, and fishery workers at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries and local government levels.
