짝 독서의 개념과 효과에 관한 고찰 = The Concept and Effects of Partner Reading

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper investigated the concept and effects of partner reading. Partner reading is reading method which two readers read aloud text together, think aloud his/her thoughts, give dialogue, and take turn. It is based on the social constructivism and transaction theory. Buddy reading and paired reading are similar to it. To apply partner reading, teacher should build partner, select appropriate texts, explain and model through mini lesson. Taking turn units are sections of texts, such as sentence, paragraph, or page. Teachers should decide to proceed the formats of partner reading and create good environment also. To implement the partner reading, the 8 weeks program was applied for the 4th grade students in the reading class. Texts were used from the reading textbook materials. As the results, post test score significantly higher than pre test score at the recall test. It is needed to study about partner reading at the various participants and situations further.
