This study investigates the effectiveness of an integrated approach to education for unification in terms of children`s recognition of the concept. The subjects of the study were 81 five year-old children (27 experimental group I; 27 in experimental group 2 and 27, in the control group). Experimental group 1 participated in the integrated approach activities once a week for ten weeks and experimental group 2 participated in them everyday for 10 days. At the conclusion of the study, the findings are 1) the degree of awareness of unification was higher in the experimental groups than in the control group and 2) that experimental group 1 demonstrated a higher degree of awareness of unification than did experimental group 2.
