중국철학 : 유학적 입장에서 본 전문직 윤리 = Professional Ethics in terms of Confucianism

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

“Is there a Professional Ethics in Confucianism ?” That is the main question in this paper, and it could be related to the issue raised by Max Weber, the issue of modernization of Asia. This paper started in point of view which Confucian ethics could take a meaningful role in Professional Ethics in Asia. In order to achieve this purpose, we examine ethic of duty, ethic of job, and professional ethics in tradition of Confucianism. Especially, analyzing its theories and actual applicants in the Analects, Mencius, and Confucian history and culture, we investigate how to deal with literati’s position and job in terms of Confucianism, how to establish literati’s self-consciousness in professional ethics, and what kinds of challenges of literati, including the ideals of governing by both king and literati, had actually been tried in order to secure and demonstrate their professionalism in Chinese and Korean histories.
