팬데믹 상황에서 청각장애 대학생의 수업 지원 실태 = Class Support Status of University Students with Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing in a pandemic situation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

목적 이 연구는 COVID-19로 시간에 따라 변화한 원격수업 지원의 차이, 수업 형태에 따른 수강의 장단점, 수업 외의 어려움을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 방법 연구 참여자는 종합대학에 재학 중이며 2020년과 2021년에 대학에서 강의를 수강한 청각장애 대학생 10명으로 구성하였다. 연구 방법은 반구조화 질문을 이용한 초점 집단 면담을 진행하였고, 면담 내용을 카테고리화 하여 질적 분석을 통해 정리하였다. 결과 원격수업 지원의 변화는 교수자와 학생 모두 원격수업 시스템에 적응하였으며 속기 지원이 도입된 대학이 있어 긍정적인 변화가 있지만, 여전히 지원요구에 대한 미진한 대응이 어려움으로 남아있다. 수업 형태에 따른 수강의 장단점은 면대면 수업에서는 즉각적인 교류를 할 수 있는 장점이 있으나 마스크 착용으로 인한 의사소통의 어려움도 동반되었다. 원격수업의 장점은 시간과 장소의 제약이 없는 편이성과 재생성을 들 수 있다. 수업 외의 어려움에서는 교류 단절의 어려움, 수업 외 과제 수행 시의 어려움으로 나타났다. 결론 이러한 점을 개선하기 위하여 ‘대학의 수업 내외 지원의 질적 개선’, ‘교수자의 수업 형태의 장점을 살린 유니버설 디자인 러닝에 기반한 교수법’, ‘교수자 및 함께 수강하는 학생들을 위한 상호 이해 교육’을 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Objectives The purpose of this study was to find out the differences in support for distance learning classes that changed over time due to COVID-19, the pros and cons of taking classes according to class types, and difficulties outside of classes. Methods The study participants were 10 University students with Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing who were enrolled in a university and took lectures at the university in 2020 and 2021. The research method was a focus group interview using semi-structured questions. The interview contents were categorized and organized through qualitative analysis. Results As a result, both instructors and students have adapted to the distance learning system, and some universities have introduced shorthand support for changes in distance learning class support. As for the pros and cons of taking classes according to the type of class, face-to-face classes have the advantage of immediate exchange, but there were also difficulties in communication due to wearing a mask. The advantages of remote classes include convenience and reproducibility without restrictions of time and place. In terms of difficulties outside of class, difficulties in disconnecting exchanges and difficulties in performing assignments outside of classes appeared. Conclusions In order to improve these points, ‘quality improvement of support inside and outside of classes’, ‘teaching method utilizing the advantages of the instructor's class type based on Universal Design Learning’, and ‘education to understand hearing impairment for teachers and students taking classes together’ were proposed.
