고령화시대 노인의 경제활동에 관한 연구 = Study on Economic Activities of Old People in Aging Society

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Korea has already entered the aging society in 2000, but with current economic and social management, a structural stagnation such as decrease in domestic demand or lack of labor is expected to occur in 2018. The issues on old people of early aging era can be categorized into economic, healthy, leisure and social-psychologic conflicts and exclusion problems. Concentrating on economic issues, it was found that the population sociological features of old people are closely related to their economic activities and that amongst those features, for the group of old people of age between 65∼69 and illiteracy, the household income, poverty status, employment status and profession status are highly relevant to the economic activities. The population sociological features of old people were found to differ depending on the degree of satisfaction in economic activities, and amongst those features, for the group of old people of the male sex and literacy of 2-year university study, the degree of satisfaction in economic activities and social relationship, and overall degree of satisfaction are found to be highly relevant to the economic activities. The education level and household income was found to give a positive effect to the degree of satisfaction and this would mean that old people of high education level and household income highly recognize the degree of satisfaction in economic activities, social relationship and in overall. Referring to this result when establishing a policy, it is expected that better quality of life by independence of old people and definition of the active senior, the insurance of new motive power by conversion to senior-friendly structure for employment and industry, the base construction for better quality of life and reinforcement of insuring system for health and protection of the aged would be encountered and suggested.
