비장애 기독대학생의 장애에 대한 인식변화 = 장애인 친구와의 관계경험을 통해

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구의 목적은 비장애 기독대학생이 장애인 친구와의 관계성을 통해 경험하는 중심현상과 적응의 형태를 밝히고, 인식변화의 과정을 발견하는 것이다. 연구 결과 중심현상은 ‘다름의 발견’이고, 적응 형태는 ‘연민형’, ‘갈등형’, ‘친구형’, ‘연결형’, ‘확장형’으로 나타났다. 중심현상 ‘다름의 발견’에 대하여 참여자들이 반응하는 중심 주제, 즉 핵심범주는 장애에 대한 ‘인식의 변화’이다. 인식의 변화 과정을 분석한 결과 비장애 기독대학생의 장애인식은 시간의 흐름 속에 중재조건의 영향을 받아 ‘위계적 인식’에서 ‘공동체적 인식’으로 변함을 알 수 있었다. 장애에 대한 인식변화와 관련하여 인과 조건인 ‘직접적인 접촉’ 개념에 대하여 논의하고, 장애인 목회상담의 유의점으로 ‘직접적인 접촉’과 ‘공동체적 관점’의 중요성을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article explores the changes in a non-disabled christian college student’s perception of disabilities through relationship experience with disabled friends. Based on the qualitative research method, a series of in-depth interviews was conducted with ten participants. The collected data was analyzed according to the grounded theory within the qualitative method. From the analysis, a “discovery of difference” was presented as a core phenomenon of relationship experience with disabled friends, which was implicative of changes in the perception of minorities in us. These participants were found to be using five strategies in dealing with the core phenomenon, which were the following: “help,” “conflict,” “friendship,” “connection,” and “expansion.” Through the data analysis “change of perception” emerged as a core category. The perception change process was discovered to have two phases, which were the following: the “hierarchical perception phase” and the “community-oriented perception phase.” Finally, this article proposes that a direct contact with the disabled is necessary to solve unequal systemic problems of contemporary society. Furthermore, it proposes that pastoral counselors must encourage the belief that the disabled are on the same side through a systemic perspective as well as direct contact.
