戰後 여성작가의 작품에 나타난 여성주인공의 성의식(性意識)연구 = A Study on Sexual Consciousness of female Characters in Novels Published Mter Korean War by Female Writers.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This thesis will focus on sexuality of main characters in the novels by female writers published after Korean War. So It can be revealed how to get the Korean woman's identity after Korean War. There are two kinds of sexuality in the female characters of the novels by Kang Sin Jae, Han Mal Sook, Park Kyung Ree. The first one is objective sexual consciousness, the second one is subjective sexual consciousness. The first one makes woman characters let alone sexual corruption. Some times, That makes woman characters delusions of persecution. Those lead woman characters up to distort self identities in novels by female writers. Those are not unrelated to effect of Korean War. After Korean War, as like as a pessimism, poverty, materialism, the ruin of spiritual value systems, the spread of distrust are very common. Those characters represents Korean woman's identity to be defeated an atmosphere of actuality of 1950's. The other side, the subjective sexual consciousness of female characters acquire their identity in a structure where they conceal their desires and recognize the absoluteness of others. Sometimes the characterization of female characters is going to reveal the feebleness and the contradiction of social orders that define woman, the female characters become subversive trying to be a female subject in a male dominated society. The characters are basically constructed the motherhood experience than female experiences. But they are faced with honestly the trobles their own sexual desires and motherhood or the role of the head of family without husband after Korean War. The characters of subjectivity that they have healthy female sexuality can make the harmonious way between their will of existence and their deteriorated conditions.(Chungbuk National University)
