효과적인 뮤지컬 지도방안 연구 : 개정7차 고등학교 1학년 교과서를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

음악과 춤, 연기와 극본이 함께하는 종합무대예술이라 정의되는 뮤지컬은, 아이돌그룹 멤버들의 출연과 다양해진 소극장 공연, 여러 대작들의 장기공연 진행 등으로 인해 최근 우리나라 대중들에게 전례 없는 많은 사랑을 받고 있다.
이러한 뮤지컬은 다양하고 대중성 있는 활동을 선호하는 고등학교 학생들의 음악수업에 적용됨에 있어 그 타이틀만으로도 호기심을 유발하며, 예술영역 전반에 대한 다양한 체험과 활동을 가능하게 하는 수업 도구가 된다. 또한 학생들은 뮤지컬 안에서 음악에 의해 극이 진행되고, 음악을 통해 인물들이 소통해 나가는 모습을 보며 음악의 다양한 표현방식을 경험할 수 있게 되고, 그것을 응용하여 자신의 삶에서도 음악을 밀접하게 두고 소통하며 활용해나갈 수 있게 된다. 따라서 뮤지컬은 고등학교 음악수업에 있어 통합적 효과를 안겨줄 수 있는 유용한 주제라 할 수 있다. 하지만 이것은 뮤지컬 활용수업이 대상 학생들에게 적합하게 지도되었을 때 가능한 일이다. 또한 얼마나 효율적인 지도 방법으로 진행되었느냐에 따라 그 효과는 매번 다르게 나타날 것이다.
본 연구는 뮤지컬을 활용한 수업 효과를 학생들에게 바르게 나타내고, 더 나아가 효율적 효과를 낼 수 있는 지도안을 제시하게 위해 진행되었다. 연구대상은 고등학교 과정 중 음악수업시수가 가장 많은 고등학교 1학년과 그들이 사용하는 개정7차 음악교과서로 선택하였다. 연구의 진행은 이론적 배경 제시 후 교과서에 활용된 뮤지컬 작품 분석으로 시작된다. 다음으로 그에 따른 작품 탐구 및 작품별 구체적인 학습활동의 분석과정을 거쳐 그에 맞는 효과적 지도안을 제시하였다. 그리고 교과서에 제시된 학습활동과 목표, 내용에 있어 뮤지컬의 통합적 효과를 살려내기 부족하다 느껴지는 항목들을 수정하거나 추가하여 새로운 학습활동을 완성하고 그 이유를 함께 제시하였으며, 그에 따른 효과적인 지도안을 3차시로 제시하였다. 모든 수업 지도안은 특수목적 고등학교가 아닌 일반적인 음악적 지식과 수준을 갖춘 인문계 고등학교 1학년 학생들을 대상으로 하였다. 수업방식은 교사위주가 아닌 학생이 직접 활동하고 체험하며 완성해나가는 방식을 사용하였으며, 수업에 쓰이는 뮤지컬 작품은 앞서 분석한 개정 7차 고등학교 1학년의 음악교과서에 실린 4작품 중 1작품을 선정하여 사용하였지만 사용되지 않은 3작품에 대해서도 항목을 분류하여 별도로 지도안을 제시하였다.
3차시의 수업지도안은 뮤지컬 전반적인 개념의 이해와 작품을 통한 활동, 뮤지컬 창작과 공연체험으로 구성되었으며 마지막 차시의 창작활동은 한차시의 수업으로 완성되는 것이 아닌 앞서 시행된 수업 속에서 조금씩 체험하여 마지막 차시에서 완성해내는 것으로 구성하였다.
본 연구를 통해 교사들은 교과서에 제시된 활용영역 그대로 수업을 진행하는 방안을 피하고 뮤지컬 활용수업의 효과를 더욱 극대화시킬 수 있는 활동내용과 방안을 활용하여 효율적인 뮤지컬 수업을 이루어낼 수 있길 바란다. 또한 많은 학생들이 뮤지컬의 창작과 표현의 방식을 몸소 체험하고 느끼며, 더 나아가 뮤지컬에 대한 높은 흥미와 지속적인 관심을 두어 뮤지컬에 등장하는 모든 요소들을 즐기며 삶의 질을 향상시켜 나갈 수 있게 되기를 기대해본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The appearance of young idol stars, increasing little theatre shows, many masterpieces and long runs of shows is proof that these days musicals are being loved by the people of korea like never before. Made up of music, dance and acting, musicals are classified into the genre of composite arts.
These musicals can be used as a lesson tool for high school students who enjoy diverse and popular activities. Being used in lessons, the title 'Musical' itself will arouse curiosity and allow students to experience the general area of arts through a variety of activities. Students can also learn through musicals how music leads the drama, how characters communicate through music, and how music is expressed in many different ways. Students will be able to apply these facts in their lives and communicate through intimate music. Therefore, using musicals in highschool music classes will be a useful topic for integrated effects of study. But this is possible only when the musical-based curriculum is appropriately taught to suitable students and the results will turn out differently according to how effectively the lesson is taught. This research was conducted so that effective musical-based classes can be taught to students and result in positive effects. The object of study will be the music classes based on the textbook of the revised seventh national curriculum for first year high school students.
The current research will start by presenting the theoretical background and then the analysis of the musicals used in textbooks. Next, progress analysis about study on musical pieces and detailed activities will conclude to a presentation of an effective curriculum.
The activities and targets that were judged to be weak in indulging students into participation or withdraw the effects of the study were adjusted or new activities were added. The effects and plans of these new activities are presented with reasons of requirement and the new curriculum including these new activities are organized into four sessions.
All sessions were planned not for special-purpose high school students, but for first grade students of academic high schools who have general knowledge on music and standard level of understanding.
The classes will be taught so that students can experience, participate and indulge in activities. 1 out of 4 musicals will be used in activities and were selected from the analyzed textbooks explained above. The remaining two musicals will be explained in a different category in the curriculum.
The curriculum of four sessions on the subject will proceed in learning the general concept and idea of musicals by actually viewing, creating and doing activities with 2 pieces. The project in which students will actually create a musical will not be completed during just the last class, but will be progressed during the whole 3 classes and finished at the end.
I hope that through this research, teachers will avoid teaching only the area presented in textbooks and teach efficient musical classes while maximizing the effect of musical-based curriculum by using many activities and devices. Students should be able to experience in person the creation and expression of musicals. In advance, with high interest and continuous attention on the subject, students can enjoy the essential factors of musicals while improving the quality of their cultural life.
