The purpose of this study is to explore the educational possibilities and limitations of the AI-based learning platform 'Gwangju AI-ON' by analyzing the in-depth experiences of elementary school teachers who have applied it in their classrooms. For this purpose, a qualitative analysis was conducted, integrating the researcher's self-reflective case study, in-depth interviews with three fellow teachers, and student response data. The results showed that the strengths of 'Gwangju AI-ON' included (1) ease of access through Single Sign-On (SSO), (2) efficiency in sharing class materials and providing feedback, (3) equity in educational opportunities through free access to paid EdTech services, and (4) stimulation of student interest using gamification and visualization tools. Conversely, limitations identified were (1) functional imperfections and technical errors in some tools, (2) concerns about the reduction of the teacher's role due to automation, (3) a gap in utilization based on teachers' digital competency, and (4) difficulties in adaptation for younger students with insufficient digital literacy. In conclusion, while 'Gwangju AI-ON' has the potential to enhance educational efficiency and student engagement, platform improvements are required, considering technical stability and the essence of education. This study suggests the necessity of teacher training, student digital literacy education, and policy support for the successful integration of AI-based platforms in the educational field.
