인격적 정체성과 환원론으로서의 생물학적 인간관에 대한 비판적 고찰

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오늘날 생물학적 인간관을 대변하며 세인의 관심을 끌고 있는 도킨스Clinton Richard Dawkins, 1941∼현재), 굴드(Stephen Jay Gould, 1941∼2002), 마이어 등은, 약간의 굴곡을 제외한다면, 한 진영을 구축하여 고군분투하고 있다. 그들이 굳건히 붙잡고 있는 동아줄은 유전자이다. 유전자 안에 인간 진화의 화석이, 그것도 시간의 의미가 감춰져 있다고 보는 것이다. 도킨스에 따르면, 생명체는 DNA의 생존을 지속시키는 것보다 더 높은 목적이 없다고 한다. 생명체에는 단지 맹목적이고 냉혹한 무관심만 있을 뿐, 설계, 목적, 선, 악은 존재하지 않는다는 것이다. 맹목적이고 물리적 힘, 그리고 유전적 복제의 우주에서 어떤 사람들은 상처를 입을 것이고 어떤 사람들은 운이 좋을 것이다. 그 속에는 어떠한 분별이나 이유, 혹은 어떠한 정의도 발견할 수 없다는 색조가 그의 저서를 어둡게 칠하고 있다. 진화의 궁극적인 무목적성이 만들어내는 인간의 역사는 자연에 단지 약간의 오염을 일으킬 뿐이며, 우리가 존재하지 않더라도 이 세계는 거의 동일할 것이라는 허무적 세계관은 화룡점정(畵龍點睛)이다.
연구의 목적은 있는 그대로의 인격적 정체성을 복원하는데 있다. 전통적 형이상학과 생물학적 인간관이 추구했던 기원은 분명 인간이해의 폭을 넓혀 주었다. 우울증과 자살의 물리적 과정을 밝혀내고, 각종 사회적 일탈행위가 윤리적 기준이 아닌 생물학적 근거를 지니고 있음을 증명하기도 한다. 그러나 생물학이 밝혀낸 인간에 대한 정보는 인간실존이라는 있는 그대로의 현실의 추상적 단면에 불과하다. 그 단면으로 현실을 지각하려고 하는 태도는 왜곡만을 불러올 뿐이다. 형이상학이 존재를 존재자로 환원시켜 현실을 왜곡하였다면, 그 반대편에서 출현한 실증과학은 존재자를 존재로 환원시켜 현실을 은폐한 것이다. 양자가 모두 기원으로의 욕구로부터 출발하였다는 사실은 변함이 없다. 우리의 과제는 이제 있는 그대로의 현실을 복원해내는 것이다. 그것은 전체로서 실존의 의미를 되살리는데 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Today's conception of man stands out by the fact that she designs a picture of man no longer purely speculatively, but is designed in the immediate contact with natural science with the biology of human life. With Dawkins, Gould, Meyer we can see the fact. For she it is important the unity of man to think. She imagine it in the appropriation of knowledge of biology as a unity of the personal and the organic system. Man is biologically seen gene.
Dies Paper on hand sees itself as a contribution to the interpretation of the ontological Personconception which is different from the things. We interpret the main conditions of the human being in the horizon of the transcendence. Cause of the examination forms the task, the ontological character of the human being to justify.
We assume, that the splitting of human life into a moral subject as a person and the biological factuality as a not person in principle counts on a wrong premise which requires it namely, after the conditions of human personal being to ask. It is all about a far reaching assignment of the scientific, primarily biological approach to being humanly in which technical dealing with the human being is legitimized without reservations on the background of natural sciences.
