토픽모델링과 네트워크 분석을 활용한 국내 주거연구 동향 분석 = An Analysis of Housing Research Trends in Korea Using Topic Modeling and Network Analysis

국문 초록 (Abstract)

대한건축학회논문집(1986~2021) 주거 논문 초록을 대상으로 연구 주제와 방법론의 장기적 변화를 규명하고자 LDA 토픽모델링과 네트워크 분석을 적용하였다. 57개 토픽 중 상위 16개를 선정하여 연도별 출현 추이, 토픽 간 연계 구조, 방법론적 특성을 심층 분석한 결과, 초기 물리적 계획 중심에서 인구구조 변화·실내환경·에너지 저감 지향으로의 주제 전환과 정성적 접근에서 정량적 접근으로의 확대가 이루어졌다. 이를 통해 국내 주거 연구가 사회·환경적 과제에 대응하는 실증 학문으로 발전해 왔음을 확인하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study analyzes long-term trends in Korean housing research using the English abstracts of 2,035 housing-related articles published in theJournal of the Architectural Institute of Korea from 1986 to 2021. Using LDA topic modeling and network analysis, 57 topics are identified,and the top 16 are selected for in-depth examination of annual prevalence, inter-topic connectivity, and topic-specific methodological patterns.
The results indicate that Korean housing research has expanded from a focus on physical planning and housing form toward broader themes,including resident characteristics, housing welfare, indoor environmental quality, energy performance, and carbon reduction. Methodologically,the field has shifted from qualitative and case-based approaches to more quantitative and data-driven methods, such as surveys, statisticalanalysis, GIS, simulations, and network analysis. This study contributes to a systematic understanding of the development of Korean housingresearch by integrating thematic evolution and topic–method linkages. Future research should expand the dataset and incorporate policy-relateddata to more directly examine the relationship between social and institutional change and housing research trends.
