남북한 통일방안의 변화와 중국의 대한반도 통일전략 = Change of Unification Plans of North and South Korea and Chinese Strategy on Korean Unification

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this study, unification plans of North and South Korea over the past sixty years were investigated, and Chinese strategies on Korean unification during the same time period were analyzed. Unification plans of North and South Korea have the characteristics of each period. From the 1950s to the 1970s, North Korea took the lead in the unification aggressively while South Korea was defensive. In the 1980s, South Korea began to deal with North Korea with aggressive and leading unification schemes. In the 1990s, South Korea took the initiative of unification and turned systematic and aggressive. On the other hand, North Korea began to turn defensive and passive in order to ensure the regime survival. Now days South Korea is driving the first step to unification of Korea actively, and North Korea is accepting the fact while taking strict deprecation not to be absorbed into South Korea. In addition, China has changed its strategies on Korean unification with time. From the 1950s to the 1970s, the strategy on Korean unification was in exclusive support of North Korea. In the 1980s, China adopted the ``tao guang yang hui`` policy to hide its capability, focus on its national strength-building, and bide its time. In the 1990s, ``qiu tong cun yi`` policy to admit the difference and cooperate was adopted, and recently China shifted its strategy to ``you suo zuo wei`` to do some things in order to make its voice heard.
