      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      The study measures the cutting resistance by tool dynamometer when face milling is worked in regard of special casting steel according to using cutter six KTK 20 throw away tip tool in face milling. And the study compares, analyzes, and considers surface roughness forming cutting edge, cutting power, specific cutting power, and specific cutting resistance. consequently, the study tries to find cutting condition of optimal milling working which is required in casting steel products in enterprises and to contribute for an effective and economical milling working.
      The results are as follows :
      1. Tangential cutting component(Ft) seems to increase in proportion to cutting depth.
      2. Specific cutting resistance decrease along with an exponential function in proportion to the amount of transmision and cutting speed.
      3. In order to decrease cutting power in production, it is effective to slow down the cutting speed and to increase the cutting amount within maintenance of mechanical rigidity.
      4. In order to decrease specific cutting power, it is effective to decrease the cutting speed, to speed up the transmission, to set greatly the cutting depth. In order to decrease specific cutting power and to work precisely, it is more effective to have as many cutting edges as possible.
