The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of group art therapy for increasing the elementary school girl student's motivation for learning. Term of the therapeutic intervention was 7 weeks. each session was consist of 60 minutes. The subcategories of motivation for learning were self-efficacy, intrinsic value and test anxiety.
The subject for this study consisted of 24 elementary school 4th-grade girl students in Ku-mi. The subject were divided as an experimental group, 12 and control group, 12. the independent variables was the elementary school girl student's motivation for learning and the dependent variable was art therapy program.
The results were conducted using both quantitive analysis and qualitive analysis. The quantitive variable was analysed by MANOVA and the qualitive analysis was analysed by focusing upon the client's response, the attitude for the therapeutic intervention, and the verbal response.
The following conclusions were obtained from the result :
First, Art has a positive influence on the motivation for learning.
Second, the comparison to the control group, after the group art therapy sessions.
