다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

Any attempt at an adequate description of cross-cultural perspectives of the phenomenon of “Redemption” is brought up against a serious methodological dilemma: the analysis will either lean too heavily on reference to one particular culture ─ in which case it may be exhaustive but will probably include unessential detail ─ or else in its sincere attempt to em-brace many cultures it will run the risk of treating the subject in too generalizing a fashion. Some overlap between a general phenomenology of “Redemption” and the specific analysis of the Hebrew model is therefore inevitable. However it is generally agreed that similar phenomena in other cultures and religions ─ though known by different names and even per-forming somewhat different social functions ─ may legitimately be discussed under the one heading.
Discussions on the nature of “Redemption” vary according to whether they emphasize its formal elements: possession, inspiration, sense of vocation, mission; or the contents of the message implied: righteousness, purity of heart, universal peace, divine judgment. The semantic spectrum of the term “Redemption” has consequently been widened. According to whether the emphasis is on exaltation, visionary experience, ethical fervor, sense of absolute commitment, millenarian and apocalyptic expectation, the most diverse phenomena and personalities have become included; even Marxism has been qualitied to belong ─ because of its passionate protest against social injustice and because of the eschatological structure of its doctrine.
