It was surveyed that the certain part of Beopseong Section of Jeollanamdo, Korea, to find out the tendency of orientations of the villages distributed in this section area. The half of this section consists of a part of Yellow Sea, another half of the section consists of mountains of around 300 m and lower altitudes, and mostly of flat plains of low altitude with some low hills.
As the result of this study it is also verified that the major parts of the villages are formed on horizontally flat ground which is easy to use the solar energy. In the case of the other parts of them, the major parts of the orientations of the villages are southward and the other orientations had been used only special environments such as good views, commercial needs or the topography not to avoided in constructing the south-faced buildings. This result is again very similar to every one of my previous studies.
