This experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccination on behavior and Korean native growing cattle. Eeffects of additional FMD vaccination on behavior, blood profiles, feed intake, weight gain and antibody formation of Korean native growing cattle were investigated. There was no significant difference in Active and Not active behavior of experimental animals. There was no significant difference in feed intake and daily weight gain by FMD vaccination. After FMD vaccine injection, Korean native growing cattle showed greater MCV (P < 0.05) and lower MCH (P < 0.05) and MCHC (P < 0.01) in red blood cell categories. In white blood cell categories, LY (P < 0.01) and GR (P < 0.01) increased after 1 day of vaccination but GRA tended to show quadratic response; increase and then decrease (P = 0.06). Cortisol concentration was increased after 7 days of FMD vaccination (P < 0.05).
The ELISA test value of antibody formation was greater after 7 days of FMD vaccination (P < 0.01).
