친가ㆍ외가의 사회적 지지가 유아의 사회적 유능감 및 공격행동에 미치는 영향: 가족 상호작용의 매개효과를 중심으로 = The Effect of Social Support from both sides of Parents’ Family on Child’s Social Competence and Aggressive Behavior: Focusing of Mediation Effect of Family Interaction

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of social support from both sides of parents’ family on their family interaction and child’s social competence and aggressive behavior. Also, the puropose of this study was to investigate a mediation effect of family interaction. For this, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, structural equation model analysis and path analysis were carried out by using the data of 1,349 infants and their parents who participated in the 7th year(2014) survey of Korean Children and Youth Panel. The results of this study were as follows: First, Social support from both sides of parents’ family which is perceived by mother had a positive influence on parents’ family interaction. Second, Social support from father’s side which is perceived by mother showed a negative influence on child’s aggressive behavior. And social support from mother’s side which is perceived by mother showed positive effects on child’s social competence. Third, Unlike father, family interaction perceived by mother not only improved child’s social competence and reduced child’s aggressive behavior but also mediated social support from both sides of parents’ family, child’s social competence and aggressive behavior. This study has a significant meaning as it revealed the fact that the effect on children’s development is different according to the provider of social support and it also revealed the fact that family interaction perceived by mother has a more influence rather than by father.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 친가 및 외가의 사회적 지지가 부모의 가족상호작용과 유아의 사회적 유능감 및 공격행동에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 이 중 가족상호작용의 매개효과를 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국아동패널 7차년도(2014년) 조사에 응한 1,349명의 유아와 그들 부모를 대상으로 기술통계, 상관관계 분석, 구조방정식모형 분석, 경로분석을 하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 어머니가 지각한 친가 및 외가의 사회적지지는 부모의 가족상호작용에 정적인 영향력을 나타냈다. 둘째, 어머니가 지각한 친가의 사회적 지지는 유아의 공격행동에 부적인 영향을, 외가의 사회적지지는 유아의 사회적 유능감에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 아버지와 달리 어머니가 지각한 가족상호작용이 유아의 사회적 유능감을 향상시키고, 공격행동을 감소시킴을 물론, 친가 및 외가의 사회적 지지와 유아의 사회적 유능감 및 공격행동을 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 사회적 지지의 제공자에 따라 유아의 발달에 미치는 영향이 상이하고, 아버지보다는 어머니가 지각한 가족상호작용이 영향력이 있음을 밝힌 점에 본 연구의 의의가 있다.
