통합예술치료에 적용된 음악분석 -신성원무(Sacred Circle Dance) 음악을 중심으로- = Music analysis applied to an integrated art therapy - focusing on Sacred Circle Dance Music -

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to systematically analyze Sacred Circle Dance(SCD) music used in the integrated art therapy. The analyzed SCD musics are 4 in total, which include 'Elm Dance', 'Harpsichord concerto No. 5 Largo', 'Lute concerto in D Largo', and 'Canon in D'. The music analysis consist of the content analysis of the general characteristics of SCD music, 'Structural Model for Stimulatory and Sedative Music', and ‘Mood Wheel’. In order to increase the reliability of the analysis, the results of the analysis by seven reviewers were reflected in the study results. The results of this study are as follows: First, we examined the musical characteristics that can support the movements of the circle dance such as gait, direction, speed and repeatability. Secondly, the SCD music showed less change in rhythm, strength, and pace. Additionally, its melody and harmony were highly predictable and stable. Thirdly, in the SCD music atmosphere, ‘Elm Dance’ is dreamy, ‘harpsichord concerto’ and ‘lute concerto’ are both lyrical, and ‘Canon in D’ has spiritual atmosphere. The meaning of this study is to examine the appropriateness and relevance of music in movements by analyzing the SCD music used in integrated art therapy. Furthermore, we expected that the music analysis tools used in this study can be applied in the clinical cases and research of integrated art therapists who are willing to converge music and other media.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 통합예술치료에서 사용한 신성원무(Sacred Circle Dance) 음악을 체계적으로 분석하는 데에 있다. 분석한 신성원무 음악은 ‘Elm Dance’, ‘Harpsichord concerto No. 5 ’Largo’, ‘Lute concerto in D ’Largo’, ‘Canon in D’로 총 4곡이다. 음악분석은 신성원무 음악의 일반적 특성에 관한 내용 분석을 실시하였고, ‘자극적 음악과 진정시키는 음악의 구조적 모델(Structural Model for Stimulatory and Sedative Music)’을 사용하였으며, ‘기분의 수레바퀴’를 사용하였다. 분석의 신뢰도를 높이기 위하여 7인의 평정자들이 분석한 내용을 연구결과에 반영하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 신성원무 음악에서 걸음걸이, 방향, 속도, 반복성 등 원무의 움직임을 지지할 수 있는 음악적 특성을 확인하였다. 둘째, 신성원무 음악은 리듬, 강도, 빠르기 등의 변화가 적으며 선율과 화성은 예측 가능성이 높고 안정적인 구조를 가진 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 신성원무 음악이 주는 분위기에서는 Elm Dance는 몽환적, Harpsichord concerto No. 5 Largo와 Lute concerto in D Largo는 서정적, Canon in D는 영적인 분위기가 우세하게 나타났다. 본 연구는 통합예술치료에서 사용한 신성원무 음악을 분석함에 따라 움직임에 대한 음악의 적합성 및 연관성을 알아본 것에 의의가 있다. 나아가 이 연구에서 사용된 음악분석 도구가 음악과 다른 매체의 융합을 시도하는 통합예술치료 전문가들의 임상 및 연구에 활용될 수 있기를 기대한다.
