The suspension system of a car is designed to maintain maneuverability and stability by allowing the driver to drive in the desired direction while reducing vibration or impact transmitted from the road surface to the driver and improving ride comfort while driving on the road. In order to enhance the maneuverability and stability of automobiles, interest in the variable shape suspension system of automobiles is increasing. Development of various systems designed to control camber and toe angles related to the geometry of suspension has been required, but research on tire lateral force has been insufficient. Therefore, this study analyzed the characteristics and operating principles of variable suspension and analyzed tire characteristics, and then tried to predict the magnitude of the transverse force generated through precise control of the camber angle and toe angle within the operating range of the variable suspension actuator, and to examine the effect on the maneuverability and driving stability of automobiles equipped with variable suspensions.
