한국고대사의 대중화와 대중문화화

국문 초록 (Abstract)

정부는 2015년 국사교과서의 국정화 방안을 발표하고, 2018년부터 교육 현장에서 역사교육 내용의 획일화된 편찬을 추진하려고 하고 있다. 한편 유사역사학자들 중에는『환단고기』 등 위서를 원사료로 활용하여 한국고대사의 위대함을 보여 준다며 대중들의 역사인식을 혼란시키고 있다. 한국고대사 연구자들은 한국고대사회의 모습을 제대로 복원하려는 노력과 함께 한국사 인식을 다양한 시각으로 해석하는 역사인식을 학생들과 대중들에게 보여줄 책임이 있다고 하겠다.
이를 위해서 고대사 사료 데이터베이스를 제대로 구축하고, 고고학 자료 데이터베이스도 구축하여 고대사와 고고학 연구자들이 보다 풍부한 자료를 활용할 수 있도록 하여야 할 것이다. 아울러 한국고대사 교육이 학교에서 제대로 이루어지도록 다양한 시각의 ‘대안 교과서’나 ‘개설서’ 및 ‘지도’들을 제작하여야 할 것이다. 그리고 국립중앙박물관의 사례처럼 많은 박물관들이 한국사의 체계적 인식을 도울 수 있는 통사적 전시를 추진하도록 하는데 역사학자들의 참여가 필요하다고 생각한다.
그리고 대중들이 한국고대사를 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 스토리텔링 기법을 도입하여 한국고대사에 대해 흥미를 갖도록 하는 저서들을 집필 출판하는데 참여하여 한국고대사의 대중화를 이루도록 하여야 할 것이다. 또한 대중들이 디지털과 모바일 시대에 영화나 드라마 등 문화콘텐츠에 많은 관심을 갖고 있으므로 문화콘텐츠 종사자들과 소통과 협력을 통해 한국고대사의 연구결과물을 문화콘텐츠화하여 대중문화를 질적으로 발전시킨다면 ‘한류’를 보다 높은 차원으로 제고시키는 역할도 할 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In 2015, the government announced a plan to standardize the Korean history textbooks, and attempts unified publication of the materials of history education in education field from 2018. Meanwhile, some pseudo-historians, using Hwantankogi (桓檀古記) as a primary source, is disturbing history awareness of the public, saying they are to show ‘greatness’ of the ancient Korean History. The Korean history scholars need to put more effort in rebuilding the aspects of the ancient Korean society, and have a responsibility to introduce the public and students the historical awareness to interpret the Korean history in various perspectives.
For this purpose, it is necessary to establish a proper database for historical sources related to the ancient Korea, while providing ample sources for archaeologists through an archaeological source database. Plus, publishing ‘Alternative Textbooks’, ‘general history books’ and ‘maps’ written in various perspectives are needed, in order to set a proper education system of ancient Korean history in schools. Additionally, Historians are encouraged to actively participate in carrying forward museums’ exhibition for the general history of Korea, like National Museum of Korea, which will help methodical understanding in the Korean history.
It is also required for historians to join in publishing books that will draw the public’s attention to the ancient Korean history, using ‘story-telling’ method for easy understanding of the history and supporting the popularization of the ancient Korean history. Considering the public’s high interest in cultural contents such as movies and TV dramas in this digital and mobile era, it is also important to communicate and cooperative with the practicians in the cultural contents business to convert research achievements to cultural contents. Through this cooperation, the historians will have an important role to improve the quality of the public culture, which will ultimately take the ‘Korean Wave’ to the next level.
