The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is promoting policies and research and development with the aim of fully applying BIM design to the entire construction industry, including civil engineering, by 2025. As the National Railroad Corporation announced the full introduction of BIM in 2020, it is necessary to train BIM personnel to understand the characteristics of railway infrastructure due to the rapid increase in demand for BIM professionals to perform orders, design, construction, and operation and maintenance after completion of railway construction projects. In other fields, various educational contents such as smart construction and maintenance BIM are being generated, but railways are currently absent. In this paper, we analyze BIM education status at home and abroad to train railway BIM professionals, construct an educational curriculum differentiated from other fields, and propose the design of a knowledge-based recommendation system and collaborative filtering recommendation system by considering user attributes (affiliated institutions, business stages, learning capabilities, fields, etc.) and learners' propensity.
