    Nowadays, our industrial society is changing into a technical intensive information society with the distinction of mass production and high added value. This kind of change has been possible through the spread and use of computers even in the unlimited competition in the global generation. Planning and production with the aid of computer has showed greatly rapid development of the related industry owing to the automated manufacturing ability and computerizing management system that has been developed in the recent year. Jewelry industrial circle has already started designing and manufacturing of the jewelry articles by using the computer software of jewelry CAD. With the using of CAD for the manufacturing of jewelry articles, the industrial circle has escaped from various kinds of difficulties and problems. However, the jewelry industry has achieved considerable economical merit and effective production resulted from the wide technical application for the industry. The traditional manual technology in the past has made so much difficulties and problems for the
    mass production of the jewelry articles in the present time due to the complex and difficult manual manufacturing processes. However, the use of jewelry CAD as a desirabl e and efficient P31t of manufacturing method of the filigree craftsmanship effect has made the filigree workmanship delicate and decorative design .
    It takes so much time and effort to make granules in the beginning and cubic design ed part in the end. In addition, the difficult processes ori ginated from the spreading solder and surf ace tension can be sett led and the gr anul es can be produced into uniform and even sized ones and the soldering P31ts can be arranged according to the desirable design s with the use of CAD. CAD can achieve the filigree effect with the cubic design of complete circle. Modeling that is made with CAD can produce practical arti cles and the RP- Rapid Prototypi ng that produces the rapid and precise practical models of the manual models by using three dimension CAD data is the effective and rapid model production facility using ink-j et technology. Thi s system produces slices with various kinds of thickness through spouting thermoplastic production mat erials by using two ink-j et head. That is, the matter that is spouted in liquid sta te from ink-j et shall become finn when it is placed on the surface. Thus, the production material and support ing material shall be attached respecti vely. And then, as the grinder cuts each layer smoothly enough so that next layers can be attached for the production of various kind s of slices , precise shaping treatment like smooth surface treatment, curved surface treatm ent and filigree grains can be available. The sample model that is made by CAD can be mass-produced without contraction and distortion The model is used for the production of Lost Wax Casting and there is no remain s during the casting. It can be recogni zed that the practical arti cles have considerably good shapes with excellent precision even in the detai ls. Saving of time, flexible change of designs, and creation of new ideas can be possible through the use of CAD. With the work of image, the imaginary arti cles can be produced and the use of CAD can contribute to the development of jewelry indust ry . The achievement that CAD can develop workmanship articles with precision through the use of traditional craftsmanship technology is the resu lt from the ultra modern technology.
