A study has been made of the photoluminescence of Zinc selenide phosphors. Activator and coactivator used are manganese and chiorine.
Two kinds of phosphor samplem, that is, SA ZnSe and ZnSe:Mn, CI phosphors are prepared by firing Zinc selenidc with appropriate impurity at 900℃ for an hour in nitrogen gas. The crystal structure of these phosphors shows the cubic phase.
