사회문화 활동으로서의 餘暇를 통해 바라본 프랑스 한인 공동체의 정체성

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this article is to show the real scope of recent Korean residents in French society. We count about 13 000 Korean residents, who often arrived in France only in the nineteen eighties. A great majority of the Korean people in France are temporary residents and this population is concentrated in Paris area. In fact, a scientific approach through the leisure activities is also important to understand and to draw the attention on the specificity of an ethnic group. However, this perspective is often disregarded especially in the field of korean study researchers. As a result, it is worth of looking into several factors which will allow us to account for leisure activities. Leisure is not only a major source that can tell us the full story of immigrants lives, but also an extremely important factor that influences their adaptation to the new society. In fact, the social life of Korean people in France consist in several forms of friendship and leisure practices, exclusively through the network of intra ethnic associations and religious space. In addition, the cultural activities play a significant role and these activities take place in the urban area. Moreover, the leisure activities in city periphery appear as a crucial element in the touristic mobility. Finally, we could note that the situation of the Korean residents in France can not be identified with a total integration or a complete assimilation into France. It would be a partial process. The majority of the Korean community in France still keeps cultural homogeneity of the homeland.
